Christmas & New Year Feasts for People Proud to Live in Sobriety
On 25 December and 1 January, Hacienda Paradiso hosts two free community lunches, opening its doors to people who have already built their recovery and want to spend the holidays surrounded by others who truly understand that journey.
Rooted in Step 12: giving back with gratitude
The idea for these Christmas and New Year lunches comes directly from Step 12 of the Twelve Steps. Step 12 is about carrying the message forward, living recovery in daily life and giving back in gratitude for what has been received.
At Hacienda Paradiso, these feasts are a way to honour that spirit in a simple, concrete way. A shared table, real stories of sobriety and a reminder that recovery grows stronger when it is shared with others.
Who can join
These lunches are open to people in stable sobriety who want to mark Christmas and New Year’s Day in gratitude, sharing a sober table with others who have also rebuilt their lives. It is a moment to honour how far they have come and feel part of a community that understands the value of staying clean.
*These lunches are intended for individuals in stable sobriety. If you are currently struggling with addiction or considering treatment, please contact us to discuss clinical support and residential programmes.
What to expect
Each lunch is fully hosted by the Hacienda Paradiso team, so guests only need to arrive and enjoy. Our in-house chefs will prepare a festive, family-style Christmas & New Year’s meal, with generous dishes, desserts and non-alcoholic drinks served at a shared table. Both lunches are entirely free of charge.
Hacienda Paradiso also arranges all logistics, including private vans collecting guests from Málaga and Marbella. The atmosphere will be relaxed and welcoming, with space to sit, eat and connect.
Voluntary charity donations in the spirit of giving back
As a way of living Step 12 in a concrete, shared way, guests will have the opportunity to make voluntary donations on both days.
Everything collected will be given to a charitable cause, as a collective gesture of gratitude and service from a community that knows what recovery truly costs and what it can give back.
Donating is entirely optional. The real heart of Step 12 here is simply showing up, sharing the table and keeping the door open for sober connection during the holidays.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to pay anything to attend?
No. The Christmas and New Year lunches are completely free. During the events there will be a space for voluntary donations, and everything collected will be given to a charitable cause. Donating is optional and not a condition for attending.
Can I bring a friend or family member?
Yes, as long as they respect the spirit of the event and the sober environment. When reserving your seat, please indicate how many people will attend with you so we can plan the meal accordingly.
Is transport to Hacienda Paradiso included?
Yes. Private vans will collect guests from Málaga and Marbella so that arriving feels simple and stress-free. Once your place is confirmed, the team will share exact pick-up times and locations.
Are the charity donations mandatory?
No. Donations are completely voluntary. During both days there will simply be an opportunity to contribute to a charitable cause, as an act of gratitude and giving back. Your presence at the table is already a meaningful part of that spirit.
How many places are available?
Places are limited so that the lunches can remain intimate and manageable. We recommend registering as soon as possible and letting us know if your plans change, so someone else can take your place.
